FLS

It looks strangely wide, but you get the idea.

Wandering Aimlessly

I miss knitting my sweater. I miss feeling it's warm weight spread across my lap. I miss the endless hours of mindless flow, the rhythm of it. I know I need to move on, to pick up the needles and knit something. Or you know to get some strong thread and sew those buttons on and wear it. Or at the very least take some pictures of it. Then there is that nasty pair of socks haunting me. There is also Christmas knitting, for which I don't have the yarn or sadly the money to buy the yarn. Anyone need a computer fixed? My hubby is available. So I wander around sadly with empty hands.

Finished!

My FLS is done, woo hoo! Debating whether to block it or not. if I like the fit do I need to block it? I'm wearing it now, despite it's lack of buttons.

I kind of want a new T-shirt to go under it. You can always use new shirts, right?

((doing the finished sweater dance of joy))

Random

That's where I'm at, so there ya go.

~Family Drama seems to be letting up, kind of. At least the people who are important to me are back on good terms.

~I love my new-to-me laptop, I spent way too much time watching TV shows on Hulu over the weekend. Glee is my new favorite! Oh, and Flash Forward, which feeds my Lost craving.

~Reading and knitting are competing for my free time. I'm a few inches into the second FLS sleeve and I picked buttons. (purchased locally) It's been too gloomy to get a pic of them though.

~I got to see my former pilates teacher this week, I was amazed how much I missed her and her teaching style. I'll be back in her class next quarter, no matter what.

~I'm starting to feel the itch for the next knitting project, which should be Christmas knitting, considering I have three scarve requests.

~My mood has been so up and down, I have a complete lack of direction and passion for life right now.

~Already dreading the holidays. I used to love it and part of me still does, but it comes with stress now.

Thankful Thursday

The last week or so has been hard. A number of things added to this, not being pregnant again, family drama, oh and my husband still has no job in sight. None the less I am trying to shake of these feelings of nagging sadness. So here goes

~I love my FLS, I started the first sleeve today. Thank you all for the button input, except you English Emily, you added to my button troubles. :)

~Looking forward to hanging with family and friends this weekend. I don't know where I would be without you all!

~J is gone for the weekend, I miss him! BUT I get to watch whatever I want and eat junk for dinner and not feel bad about not providing a healthy meal.

~FALL, cider, pumpkin everything, crunching through leaves, gorgeous color, sitting by the fire

~The best one of all, we celebrated eight years of marriage this week, we rock!

I know things will get better, I can't wait.

I'm In Love

With the February Lady Sweater. I am even farther along then this picture I snapped yesterday morning. I have an inch or two left of the body. This sweater has been pretty elusive in the photo department, they all end up looking washed out.

The search for buttons has begun. Is it too early for that? Nah, I love buttons. Looking through my Grandma's button basket was one of my favorite past times when I was little.

The Leathers

Button One

Button Two

Button Three

The Metals

Button One

Button Two

Ok, clearly I need to narrow this list, this wasn't even all of them. Ugg.

My other debate is lace sleeves or garter stitch sleeves. I'm leaning towards the garter (as much as I love the lace) and I may make them a little slimmer.

My expectations are high that this will be a sweater I not only finish, but wear and love.
