Mid Week Rants/Raves

RAVES

~J fixed my computer and it is SO much faster! I can load pictures and watch vids again.

~Kicking ass in pilates.

~The spring like weather.

~Reading again.

~Had the best Valentines I can remember in several years.

RANTS

~Hurtful, thoughtless people.

~J has been super stressed the last few weeks at work, and super grumpy and then this week it's been slow hours (and money) wise, but still stressful.

~Really annoyed that BS changed the hours.

~I think the stuff in my house doubles while I'm cleaning in some other area.

~Trying to save for Chicago trip.

Donations for Oscar

A dog is sick and his dog Mommy is desperate to help him. I don't know her, but I know she is a knitter, I know she loves her dogs like I love my Molly. If you are able and willing to help her pay for Oscars medical bills, please do. If you can't please send them prayers and good thoughts.

Planning Ahead for Valentines

Valentines Day isn't a big deal in my house. I've mentioned before I don't have the most romantic of husbands, but he is very good with the practical, so I keep him around anyway. Some years we go out for dinner, some years we don't do much of anything. This year I suggested cooking steaks at home, some wives might not think of this as a treat, but I like to cook and don't really think of throwing meat on the George Foreman to be that much work. I hadn't given dessert much though though until I read the Pioneer Womans blog. This woman is my food god. I've made a handful of her recipes and they are always impressive, but simple to make. The other day she posted a recipe for Baked Fudge. I will be making it for VD, I may even share some with J. I thought someone else might want to make it for themselves or their well behaved sweetie. If you go to her blog don't forget to enter the contest for a Kitchenaid mixer, if you're into that kind of thing.

Wednesday Rants and Raves

I used to do a regular post like this on a forum and I thought it might be fun to try here.

Raves

~Even though it's really cold out, there is sunshine.

~I'm looking forward to Lisa's birthday dinner on Saturday. I get to dress up and put effort into make up, yay!

~I finished the Just Enough Ruffles scarf and I love it.

~My friend Joy requested some hand knits for her kids. I may be making a baby sized ruffled scarf for baby Emily.

~J has gotten a few more hours this week than what has been normal lately.

~Reading a book about fertility awareness, something I have avoided in the past. I'm hoping it will will let me feel more knowledge about my body, not just obsessive about it.

Rants

~I have nothing on the needles right now and it makes me feel twitchy.

~I'm also not reading anything. After finishing the Twilight books nothing has caught my attention. Suggestions?

~I'm on the board at my condo and we had annual elections last night. I think the people made some really bad calls and I'm very concerned about it.

~I need to go to the gym more than once a month, ugg.

~I want to buy some stuff, but I know that now is not the time to spend extra money. The girls are planning a trip to Chicago in the spring and I need to save for it.
