I Need a Project

Now that Emily and Matt's wedding is over I am without something to occupy my mind, except getting knocked up. A phrase I used to hate, but is somehow growing on me. I feel like every knitting project I start ends up being set aside a few rows in. I need something to challenge and engage and enthrall me. My brain is bored.

Laughing At Myself


We had our first visit to the infertility clinic yesterday. It didn't go as well as I had hoped, but that's not what I'm here to write about. In our packet from the clinic was Conceive magazine. I didn't know such a thing existed. Look what's on the cover! A baby, yes, whatever, but look the baby is wearing a cute striped hoodie. Maybe someday I'll have a little monkey to make cute sweaters for.

Happy Day


Last night and today were amazing. Well the whole weekend really, since it started Friday morning with girl time at the spa and brunch. Emily and Matt's wedding was beautiful and perfect and I hope everything they wanted it to be. It was a really special day for all of us. Emily is being welcomed into a loving, warm family. We drank lots of champagne and had lots of laughs and Lisa jabbed her eye into my finger, causing her face to be covered in stripper glitter.

I even managed not to cry in front of the bride until the very end.
